This deal only allows for the recording gear to be borrowed for a maximum of 12 days. If you pick it up on a Friday, you will have 2 weekends to get everything tracked and back to me on Monday. This should be more than enough time but there are two really important things you need to make sure you have completed before you are ready to get started.
First, you need to have every song you plan to record completely finished. This includes lyrics to every song you want lyrics on. You will also want to have played these songs live a good number of times to make sure you have them down.
Second, you need to make sure your equipment is in good working order. If your drum heads are worn, replace them. If your cymbals are busted, get non-busted cymbals. If you guitar is impossible to keep in tune, change your strings and possibly get it setup. If the tubes in your amp are shot, replace them. The last thing you want to be doing is having to stop to fix busted gear.
I reserve the right to refuse service for any reason and do not deal with bands who sing racist, homophobic or any sort of discriminatory lyrics.
Along with the $1000 deposit, I will need a copy of every band member's ID. I will also need to know what instruments each bandmember plays so I can make sure you have the correct number of mics, stands and cables and so I can setup enough tracks in the recording software for every member of the band.
Mastering will be for digital release only. If you plan to press the project to vinyl, let me know and I can try to send a version without limiting so it can be applied by whoever cuts the lacquer.
So now, if you're ready to get started, send me an email and if you have questions, feel free to check the FAQ page. If you can't get an answer there, feel free to email me as well.
